Mammoet Fort McKay Office

Mammoet Canada Western’s latest office and maintenance shop is located in Fort McKay, Alberta, approximately 60 km north of Fort McMurray. The structural steel and poured concrete structure houses four storeys of commercial office space and a 56 foot high maintenance garage for four large overhead cranes—two 35 ton, one 15 ton, and one 10 ton. The remote location of Fort McKay called for extensive concrete work including drilling caisson foundations into northern Alberta’s rocky terrain. The 55,000 square foot facility features green technologies including a recirculating tank for filtration and reuse of water. This building replaces the existing Fort McKay facility, providing a turn-key development for the expanding office.
