Communitech

Communitech is the center for innovative technologies within the Region of Waterloo. Supporting emerging tech companies throughout the various stages of development requires unique and flexible work space to foster young companies into the next stages of their growth. Within the ground floor of The Tannery in downtown Kitchener, the Communitech space has been transformed to include Incubator space, breakout rooms, the ‘Jelly Bean’ meeting room, and a café with kitchenette and dining space. Also included is the 3,500 square foot event center operated by Bingeman’s and The HIVE (Hub Interactive Virtual Environment). While paying tribute to The Tannery’s unique historic character, Communitech’s space is a modern working environment for tech companies in the region.
